The pH level significantly influences coral and calcareous algae growth along with many biological processes in your aquarium. Ideally, pH should remain stable within 0.3 units over 24 hours and be maintained between 8.0 and 8.2 for optimal health.
Low pH often indicates insufficient alkalinity or poor aeration. To correct low pH, improve aeration and increase alkalinity to natural seawater (NSW) levels or slightly above.
