Sunshine Coast Corals Returns & Refunds Policy
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
We comply with the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) regulations and honor all consumer guarantees under the ACL.
1. Returns for Major Failures (ACL Guarantees)
You are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if goods have a major failure, including when an item:

Has a defect that would have prevented purchase if known

Is unsafe
-
Significantly differs from the sample or description

Fails to perform its intended purpose and cannot be easily fixed
Applies to ALL products (livestock, equipment, and dry goods).
2. Livestock (Corals, Fish & Invertebrates)
NO CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS:

Due to biosecurity risks and animal welfare, we do not accept returns or offer refunds/exchanges for live specimens if you change your mind.
DOA (Dead on Arrival) Policy:

Report mortality within 2 hours of delivery with unboxing photos/video.

Credit or replacement offered at our discretion (excludes shipping costs).
3. Dry Goods & Equipment (Non-Live Items)
Change-of-Mind Returns (14 Days):

We accept returns for unopened, unused equipment within 14 days of purchase.

Store credit or exchange only (no cash refunds).

Original packaging and proof of purchase required.
Excluded Items:
-
Gift cards, sale/clearance items, or personalized products.

Used/opened equipment (subject to ACL major failure claims).
4. Return Process

Dry Goods: Return to our store (address below) with proof of purchase.

Livestock Claims: Email photos/video to support@sunshinecoastcorals.com within 2 hours of delivery.

You bear return shipping costs unless goods are faulty.
