Plenty of rock work, cracks, crevices, caves with a sand bed should be provided for hiding. Valencienna are small, easy to maintain and fit well in most reef aquariums. They are a good sand sifter and will pick up mouths of sand looking for small invertebrates and organic matter. A diet of meaty and algae-based foods should be provided multiple times daily. Feed adult, fortified Brine, Glass/Grass shrimp and black worms if having difficulty enticing a feeding response. Valenciennea Gobies tend to be shy and peaceful house with other peaceful tank mates. In the wild Valenciennea Gobies mate for life, if possible, house as a mated pair. Provide a tight-fitting aquarium as Gobies may jump.
