Camposcia retusa, also known as the Spider Decorator Crab, shows a mottled pattern of brown, beige, or reddish-brown. As decorator crabs, they have a unique ability to attach and arrange materials like algae, sponges, and other debris on their carapace for camouflage. This camouflage helps them blend into their surroundings and can grow up to 11 cm in length.

Camposcia Crabs are commonly found in rocky intertidal zones, coral reefs, and other shallow marine environments. They are often seen in areas where they can find suitable materials to attach to their bodies for camouflage. These crabs are generally omnivorous and will feed on a variety of small organisms, detritus, and algae.

It’s essential to avoid using copper-based treatments in a tank with invertebrates, as it can harm them.
