Stenopus hispidus also known as the Coral Banded Shrimp, shows red and white bands, long pinchers and white antennas and can grow up to 7cm in length.
 
Stenopus Shrimp should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork with ledges, cracks, caves and crevices for resting and hiding. Generally found perching on ledges. Provide a diet rich in small pieces of meaty foods. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications. Magnesium and Iodine are important components for shrimp as they need these for molting.
 
Coral Banded Shrimp may set up cleaning stations to clean dead tissue and parasites from fish.
