Istiblennius meleagris, also known as the blue spot blenny, shows pale to dark dusky-brown colour body with numerous small pale blue spots all over, and can grow up to 15cm in length.
Istiblennius Blennies should be added to well established aquariums. Provide plenty of rockwork with crevices, and rocky areas. Provide a diet rich in meaty and algae-based foods several times daily. If not sufficiently fed Istiblennius may pick at corals or clam mantles. Marked differences have been seen between males and females. Most Blennies lack or have very small swim bladders. Be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight-fitting lid as Blennies may jump.
